A 1 1/2 mile hike brings the visitor to what is considered the best viewing spot in the State. On the peak of the mountain is Heublein Tower, 1,000 feet above the Farmington River Valley. On the peak of the mountain is Heublein Tower, overlooking the Farmington River Valley. On clear days, visibility can be as much as 50 miles. The tower is open on a seasonal basis.
